B I O G R A P H Y
Singing has always been apart of Tevya's life. To ask her not to sing is like asking someone
to stop breathing. With a voice that penetrates the heart and lyrics that speak to the soul, Tevya's first musich
project will not be her last.
Born and
raised on the Eastern Shore of Virginia where you are free to run, jump, lay in the dirt, and play hide and seek in the woods,
Tevya has never lost her fun-loving ways. (Her collection of Hello Kitty anything is a testament to that.) This fun
nature comes through in her interpretation of melodies and lyrics. Most importantly, her love for Jesus and seeing people
come to know Him as their Lord and Savior is evident in her music.
In 2000 she recorded the “The Relationship Project” with Tyrone
Powell and the Friends of Christ. Tevya was featured as lead vocalist on the track entitled “All Things”.
This album was the recipient of the JPFolks 2001 Gospel Album of the Year Award and coined
the "Best New Artist on the East Coast". While singing with FOC she learned the dynamics of praise and worship through
song, and gained a greater enthusiasm for praising God. She later went on to become a praise and worship leader and
associate teen choir director at her church.
In 2003 Tevya began singing with the dynamic urban gospel group, Bloodline. She was
given the name Power Praise and in 2005 recorded the “Revelations” Project with Bloodline and was featured as
lead vocalist on several tracks. Check out “Power”, “Keep it Right There”, and “Creepin”
at www.bloodlinemusicgroup.com. Tevya’s experience with Bloodline helped cultivate her writing
talents and learn more about the music industry.
Now the time has come to launch out and pursue solo music endeavors. Begin the
